About Us

Our 20-person studio located in Pike Place Market is passionate, supportive, and proud of what we do. We take our role as stewards of the environment seriously and continuously strive to achieve balance between program (people) and site (nature). We bring an ethic of sustainability, ecological awareness, resource efficiency, and regenerative design to all our projects. We support the social justice transparency platform tool developed by the International Living Future Institute called JUST. Certification includes diversity, equity, safety, employee benefit, local benefit, and community stewardship. Berger Partnership is operating on a hybrid work model, with some flexibility to work from home.

The Work

A landscape designer is a key support person who helps our teams communicate design ideas to clients, the public, and our partner consultants. This entails participating in design meetings both internal and external, producing graphics to convey the design story, and working on technical documentation upon which our projects are built. You will be working on multiple projects with multiple teams; being proactive, collaborative, and communicative is essential. While day-to-day tasks will vary, key responsibilities and characteristics we are seeking in a designer include the following:

– Keen aesthetics to provide graphics production including 2D and 3D communication
such as project renderings and assembly of reports, narratives, and presentations.

– Ability to learn technical document development in CAD and Revit for all aspects
of landscape architecture including hardscape, planting, furnishings, grading, etc.

– Capacity to prioritize tasks given to meet deadlines.

– Focused and detail oriented.

– Curious to delve into the practical application of landscape architecture.

– Aptitude for or ability to learn digital fabrication and MR/VR.
