The 2030 District recognized Sitka for its sustainable approach to water use and conservation with a Vision Award in the Water Category. Certified LEED Platinum and Salmon Safe, the multifamily development in South Lake Union has an innovative wastewater heat recover system to heat the buildings, irrigation is handled by both diverted graywater and harvested stormwater and a largely native and adaptive plant palette reduces the need for irrigation.  We are extremely grateful to Vulcan and Runberg Architecture for both developing such important projects and for including us as contributing team members.
