The concept plan presents an exceptional opportunity to transform over 900 acres of centrally located land into a diverse and extensive system of parks and open space. The design explores breaking down the scale of the area through reviewing transportation infrastructure, connecting natural assets, and establishing a public realm. At the pedestrian scale, this includes transit, sidewalks, bike lanes, off-street trails, parks, plazas, and celebrating natural features. The design goal is to attract new residents and businesses by providing appealing places to live, learn, entertain, and recreate.
