Summer Internship

We are excited to announce the launch of our 2024 Summer Internship Program.

We are energized by connecting with students, and our internship program allows our firm to grow and evolve even as it enhances academic studies and prepares students for professional practice. Each year we identify subject matter of mutual interest to the intern and the firm and that has impact to the profession of landscape architecture and the greater global community. Applicants should have a passion for one or more of these topic areas, or bring your own ideas for the topic, but need not be experts in any of the subjects to be eligible. Potential topics include the following:

• Artificial Intelligence
• Carbon reduction
• Rewilding urban spaces

The selected intern, with support from office staff, will be tasked with developing a workflow for the summer and establishing applicability of the topic(s) to our work at a range of project scales. The work will rely on research and experimentation with our in-house team and outside resources to build a shared knowledge base.

The intern can expect to spend about 60% of their time on the above-mentioned research with the remaining time dedicated to practicum. The practicum is designed to provide hands-on project experience in a collaborative team environment and will likely involve researching applicable projects and visiting local examples, preparing graphics, 3D modeling, and designing a range of landscape elements.
