We are currently working with the City of Bellevue to develop a master plan for this community park. The plan will balance the needs and concerns of the immediate neighbors and the broader community, including the increasingly dense downtown core. Prior to its development as an elementary school, the site's history as a former Hazelnut orchard emerged as one of the most cherished features and will be incorporated as an endearing and meaningful design characteristic. Program elements considered for the site include traditional programming (such as athletic fields, courts and playgrounds) and atypical environmental play opportunities (such as a labyrinth, themed gardens, and viewpoint berms), all tied together with a looping path system.
