The Berger Partnership is working with the developer to revise an existing master plan for the resort. Design goals call for developing guest accommodations and a retail core with a small seaside village character. Narrow single-lane streets and pedestrian friendly wayfinding will echo that of the site's original Hotel de Haro and former Hudson's Bay Trading post village. Environmentally responsive design criteria include native plant materials, a rain garden to capture and reuse water for irrigation, and permeable paving to reduce runoff.
