The site design for PCCMF was developed in a fully collaborative, integrated process. All team members, including The Berger Partnership contributed ideas to facilitate the Owner's goal of a high LEED rating. The big picture goal for the site design was to integrate an intense industrial use with the restoration of a native Oak and Wildflower Prairie. Other site and landscape design decisions were made to compliment that aesthetic and contribute to on-site rainfall management through the use of rain gardens and appropriate plant species. The site is 30 acres in Frederickson area of Pierce County. The site comprises an operations office building and 4 maintenance buildings on 10 acres of paved tarmac. 100-foot bermed and transition forest plantings screen views from adjacent residences.
