Our work includes the master plan redevelopment of a 15-acre portion of a former military air base as a 65-acre wetland habitat complex and sports fields complex. Key design principles are preserving and acknowledging the site's former use as an airfield, integrating the entire project into the adjacent Sand Point Historic District, balancing both active and passive recreation uses, and integrating educational opportunities in the design. The finished product will integrate principles of environmentally responsible and sustainable design.
