The Berger Partnership helped shape the site design for a 40-acre campus for Lynnwood's new namesake high school. Site programming includes four new athletic fields in collaboration with D.A. Hogan that serve not only the school, but also the City of Lynnwood Parks and Recreation. Our work included extensive design for pedestrian and vehicular circulation, site hardscape, planting, irrigation, a greenhouse, and outdoor learning areas. Central to the property and site design was the preservation of an existing wetland and the enhancement of an adjacent creek/wetland corridor. These both required working in close collaboration with the civil engineer, wetlands consultant, and Snohomish County to develop LID strategies to avoid impact on sensitive areas.
