The Berger Partnership, Landscape Architecture, Site Planning, & Urban Planning

sustainability

Regardless of whether achieving LEED® certification is a project goal, we take our role as stewards of the environment seriously and continuously strive to achieve balance between program (people) and site (nature). We bring an ethic of sustainability, ecological awareness, resource efficiency, and regenerative design to all of our projects.

Sustainability has always been a core value of The Berger Partnership, as reflected by our receipt of three Audubon Society Awards dating back to 1978. We played a pivotal design role in the first LEED®link to the Greenbuild Council's LEED site certified project (the Russell Family Foundation, or "The Threshold Building", in Gig Harbor) and the first gold rated project (IslandWood, an environmental learning center on Bainbridge Island) in the state of Washington. Additionally, our firm is a member of the U.S. Green Building Councillink to the Green Building Council web site.
